On this week's Orvis Fly Fishing Podcast, host Tom Rosenbauer read a brief letter on the current state of Greenback Cutthroat trout restoration (Letter starts at 13:30). The major point is that restoration efforts were stocking hybrids until ten years ago when the pure lineage was identified by scientists through genetic analysis of historic and modern samples.
The write- and call-in section -- the Fly Box -- is worth a listen. This podcast was the last in a series on small stream fly fishing. Of interest to Colorado anglers was the first with Rachel Therkildsen.
